Real Hoops Virtual Film Service is a Product like No Other

I’ve been involved in the game of basketball virtually my entire life as a player, fan, and coach. I was lucky enough to coach basketball at the high school and college level for nearly 15 years. As I moved up the ranks to the college level I saw a huge difference in size, talent and speed. As I moved up the ladder from division 3 assistant to a division 1 assistant, I noticed another big jump. Some of it was an increase in physical abilities but the more glaring difference was in the preparation of the coaches and athletes on and off the floor.

You could find this with summer practices, time spent in the weight room, but most notably time spent watching film. Division 1 players watch hundreds of hours of film throughout the season, both individually and as a team. Individually, players learn their strengths and weaknesses and how to improve. Team film sessions can be used to help your own team improve as well as prepare for an opponent by putting a scouting report together.

At the high school level, coaches watch film with their team but nothing compared to the college level. Most high school film sessions are more team based because high school coaches do not have enough time to prepare individual film sessions for each of their players.

It dawned on me. We need to connect serious high school basketball players with college coaches to see what REAL film preparation looks like. So Real Hoops created a one of a kind platform connecting high school basketball players with college coaches in an online virtual film session.

Here’s how it works.

A high school player submits 2 games to the Real Hoops staff and we will assign a college coach to watch your games. This  coach will analyze your games & create individual edits with time stamped notes, which he will use to teach you through a virtual film session. This film session will mock the interaction a college coach has with his players during the season.

Receive instruction from a college coach while analyzing your strengths and weaknesses. Get REAL, unbiased feedback from a college coach whose goal is to teach you and help grow your game off the court.
